By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

• Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). If you join an organisation, we also collect your organisation name and role.
• Evaluation and dataset content: When you run evaluations on our platform, we process the datasets you upload, evaluation configurations, rubrics, and the results generated by the evaluation.
• Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, evaluation counts, and timestamps. This data is collected through our self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) and does not include personal identifiers.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details.
• Communications: If you contact us via email or other channels, we retain the content of those communications to provide support.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process evaluations and generate results
• Manage your account and subscriptions
• Communicate with you about the Service, including support and updates
• Improve the Service and develop new features
• Ensure the security and integrity of the platform
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We work with trusted third-party providers (such as cloud hosting, authentication, and payment processing) who process data on our behalf to operate the Service. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.

5. Try Free Data Handling

When you use our Try Free feature, your data is handled entirely within your browser:

• Your dataset stays in your browser's memory and is never uploaded to our servers.
• API calls to your LLM provider go directly from your browser to the provider — they do not pass through TryEval.
• Your API key is never stored, transmitted to, or accessible by TryEval.
• Evaluation results are computed locally in your browser.
• Nothing persists after you close the browser tab.

6. Data Storage and Security

We store your data securely in the cloud using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

On the Enterprise plan, you can control how your data is managed and run deployments within your own infrastructure (e.g., your own cloud environment or on-premises). Contact us at contact@tryeval.com for Enterprise deployment options.

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

Evaluation data (datasets, results, and configurations) is retained according to your plan:

• Free plan: 7 days
• Starter plan: 1 month
• Growth plan: 6 months
• Enterprise plan: Custom retention policies

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
• Delete your personal information
• Export your data in a portable format
• Restrict or object to certain processing of your information

We use essential cookies to operate the Service (e.g., authentication session management). We use Umami, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool, to understand how visitors use our website. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual users across sessions. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than India where our service providers operate. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
